About Erith Pride: Our Mission and Vision

Erith Pride
Erith Pride began in 2023 from a conversation between Erith Councillor Nicola Taylor and local resident and Drag Queen Jordie Dust (aka Vanne Driver).
They wondered why Bexley had never had a Prrde event and so they set about  making one happen.
The 2023 Pride on the Pier event was a great success. A second Pride on the Pier event was organised by the newly formed Pride Committe in 2025 and this was again a success
The aim of the Erith Pride organisation is to bring together the LGBTQIA+ community  and allies in Bexley.
In 2026 a smaller event is being organsied off the pier in order to fund and leave room to plan for a Pride on the Pier event in 2027.

Erith Pride

Erith Pride is committed to fostering a safe and welcoming environment for the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies.
Our journey began with the question of why Bexley Borough had never had a pride celebration.  This led to organising the first ever pride in Bexley, in 2023, with the aim of linking LGBTQIA+ groups and allies  in the area.

Erith Pride is organised by a group of volunteers from the local area.
